Shirley Brown Rothstein

Shirley Brown Rothstein, age 97, of St. Louis Park. Beloved mother of Rodney, Linda Levine and the late Harold, mother-in-law of Josie, Fred Levine and Toni Torrance, grandmother of Wylie, Judd, Al and Amanda, great-grandmother of Rhys, Tess, Hudson, Audrey and Lucy, aunt of Bobby, Jerry and Marty Stamm, great-aunt of Jesse and Jack Stamm, cousin of Nordy Rockler, Linda Passon-McNally, Susie Taran, Ellen Gold Nelson and Robbie Perl and their extended families. Born in Minneapolis, she attended North High and later married Charles “Chuck” Rothstein. She lived in Seattle, WA, Chicago, IL, Los Angeles, CA, Evanston, IL and Lincolnwood, IL, before returning to the Minneapolis area in 1996. She volunteered for more than 20 years at Sholom Home West. After Chuck died in 2006, she moved to Knollwood Place, where she “loved” everyone and was loved by everyone. Her radiant personality was infectious. She will be sorely missed. The family would like to expresses deep appreciation to Dr. Rick Taylor and his wife Patty as well as the whole Knollwood - Sholom Home Care staff, her personal caregivers, Irene & Darcy, and the nurses and staff from Sholom Hospice. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Shirley & Charles “Chuck” Rothstein Family Fund at Sholom Foundation. SHIVA, at 7 p.m. Monday, January 21st at Knollwood Place Apts. Auditorium, 3630 Phillips Parkway, St. Louis Park.
