Merwin Beckelman

Merwin Beckelman, age 72 of St. Louis Park. Dearly beloved husband of Reesa Beckelman, passed away Feb. 2, 2012 after a determined and courageous fight for life. Merwin graduated from Mpls. North High, he then attended and graduated from the Univ. of Minnesota where he was a member of the marching band that marched at two Rose Bowls. Merwin was a pharmacy technician for Snyder Brothers Drug Stores, and a operations manager for Burlington Coat Factory for 25 years. Merwin and Reesa shared the love of both music and travel. He is preceded in death by parents, Morris & Dora Beckelman. Survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Reesa; children, Joy Block and Marc Beckelman; and relatives and dear friends. Interment took place in Winnipeg. There will be a SHIVA MEMORIAL SERVICE, 2 PM SUNDAY Feb. 12, 2012 at BETH EL SYNAGOGUE, 5224 W. 26th St., St. Louis Park. Memorials are preferred to Ronald McDonald House, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, or the donor’s choice.
