Mr. Max "Mottel" Sherman Obituary (1919 - 2013)

Max "Mottel" Sherman, age 93, of Minnetonka, a Holocaust survivor, passed away April 15, 2013. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and brother. He lived a life of Jewish values. He was an example of resourcefulness, strength, and had an unparalleled work ethic. He took great pride in his family and the successful life he built. He is preceded in death by daughter, Nancy Novak and brother, Yitshok Sherman. Max is survived by his wife of 70 years, Manya; daughter, Elaine (Howard) Rubin, son-in-law, Les Novak; grandchildren, Heidi (Brian) Pergament, Shani (Sam) Graber, David and Dori Rubin; great-grandchildren, Pearl, Sol, Abe, Abby, and Louie; brother, Mike (Adele) Sherman; sister-in-law, Regina Sherman; many beloved nieces & nephews. Funeral service WEDNESDAY 10:30 AM, TEMPLE ISRAEL, 2324 Emerson Ave. S., Minneapolis. Memorials preferred to Jewish Community Relations Council, JFCS – Mpls, or donor’s favorite charity.
