Marvin Eisenstein, age 92, passed on December 25, 2021. Marvin is survived by his daughter, Cantor Audrey Abrams (David); son, Stanley Eisenstein (Nancy Brutsché); daughter-in-law, Jill Eisenstein (Tom); granddaughters, Sarah Chaya Sulman (Jonathan), Helene Belo (Shmulik), Rachel Abrams (Cal Steinhoff) and Sal Abrams (Nik Mortensen); great-grandchildren, Eve and Eleanor Sulman, Ben Belo; and special new bride, Freada Golden. Marvin is also survived by brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bernard and Marcia Elbaum; brother-in-law, Mel Tenenbaum; many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Annette; son, Bennett; sister, Paula Tenenbaum; brothers, Murray and Alan. Marvin was known for expert shoe fitting, and his adventurous spirit. Marvin was born in Brooklyn, NY where he met his first wife, Annette Elbaum. In his 20's, Marvin and Annette moved to the Rochester, NY area, where they lived for approximately 60 years and raised their three children, Bennett, Stanley, and Audrey. Marvin owned a shoe store, Marvin's Bootery, in Newark, NY. Marvin and the store were known for strong customer service, including adjusting footwear to help relieve knee and back pain. At age 58 he retired and spent the rest of his life pursuing various adventures, including: taking up race walking and encouraging others to walk; walking 26 marathons; traveling throughout the United States and to many places around the world; acting as the business manager for a local theatre organization; trekking across Nepal, Peru, Spain and England with his children; taking his grandchildren on various US adventure trips. At age 85, he and Annette moved to the Minneapolis area. After Annette's passing, Marvin remarried, at age 91, to Freada Golden, age 92. Marvin and Freada continued to travel throughout the United States. Marvin's motto was, "Life is an adventure."
