Lawrence Zelle

Lawrence Zelle, born Sept. 14, 1934 passed peacefully in his home on Saturday, May 8, surrounded by his loving family. Survived by wife, Hannalee, and sons, Anthony (Robin), Robert (Rabbi Debra Rappaport), Daniel, (Laura) and Peter (Jessica Leiman); grandchildren, DJ, Jessie, Naomi, Alisha, Eli, Mira, Max and Milo. A loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather ‘Tats’ was much loved by many and will be dearly missed. Larry grew up in the Jewish Community of North Minneapolis, and graduated from the University of Minnesota where he met his wife of 65 years, Honey, who was the world to him. Larry attended the U of M Law School and from there launched a distinguished legal career, during which he made countless close friends. A supporter of the theater community, avid sports fan and film aficionado, Larry’s family proudly carries on his legacy in these areas. Zoom funeral service 1:30 pm TUESDAY, May11th.
