Irene Greenspoon

Irene Shine Greenspoon was born on April 30, 1918 in Spencer, Iowa. Died on May 31, 2009 in St. Paul, Minnesota, at the age of 91. Preceded in death by husband of 66 years, Saul Greenspoon; parents, Rose and Louis Shine; brother, Monroe Shine; sister-in-law, Charlotte Shine and niece, Barbara Shine. Survived by daughter, Gail Greenspoon Brand (Steve); son, Dr. Jeffrey S. Greenspoon (Regta); grandchildren, Sarah R. Fingerholz (Dean), Joshua H. Brand, Joshua L. Greenspoon, David L. Greenspoon; great-grandson, Khai Liam Fingerholz; sister-in-law, Eunice Schoen (Harry); brother-in-law, Raymond Greene (Mickey); nephews and nieces, Alan Greene (MariAnn), Mark Greene (Lezlie), Eileen Elkin (Robert); grandnephew and grandnieces, Jordan Greene, Stephanie Greene, Hannah Elkin, Molly Elkin and her devoted caregiver, Christine Corfah. The family thanks the staff at The Wellington for its care and concern. Funeral services TUESDAY 1 PM, UNITED HEBREW BROTHERHOOD CEMETERY CHAPEL, 70 ½ St. & Thomas Ave. S., Richfield. SHIVA Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 7:00 PM at the home of Gail Greenspoon Brand. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Saul and Irene Greenspoon Family Fund, Sholom Foundation, 3610 Phillips Parkway, St. Louis Park, MN 55426, or to the donor’s favorite charity.
