Howard Stanley Gochberg Obituary (1930 - 2021)

Howard Stanley Gochberg 91, passed away August 10, 2021. Howard was born in NYC, NY in 1930 and he and his family moved to Minnesota in 1956. Howard was a loving and devoted husband, father, uncle and friend. Howard was loved by many and known for his fondness of Chocolate, Penn State, and the Minnesota Vikings. Howard was a lover of music, arts, and a constant seeker of knowledge. Howard was a graduate of CCNY and Penn State. Howard joined the Navy in 1952, and retired from the U.S. Navy Reserve as a Lieutenant Commander after 38 years of service. Howard retired as vice president after a 35 year career at Land O' Lakes. Howard was a beloved coach for his community youth football and baseball leagues. Howard is survived by his loving wife of 68 years Karen, his daughter Robin, and son Lawrence. Howard is preceded in death by daughter Janet Gochberg; brothers Herbert and Lazar Gochberg, and sister Betty. A Private family burial was held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that a donation be made in Howard's honor to the Pacific Whale Foundation or Wounded Warrior Project.
