Gerald Steinman

Gerald J. Steinman, 89, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2022 surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by loving mother, Rose Steinman; father, Morris Steinman; brother, Paul Steinman; and sister, Betty Schnitzer. Gerry, born July 13, 1933 is survived by the love of his life, Carol. He was a loving father to Lisa (Marc Cohn) Steinman, Ellen Daniels, and Jeff (Lizzie) Daniels; adoring grandfather to Marissa (Calvin) Metzdorf, Andria Savitch, Lucy and Josie Daniels; brother to Barry Steinman; and uncle to many nieces and nephews. A stellar athlete, he was talented enough to serve in the Korean War as a catcher for the Army’s baseball team. Gerry was a natural born entertainer in so many ways. Gerry loved life and his family. He started coaching Little League Baseball and then as Jeff progressed, he coached Jeff’s Babe Ruth and Senior Babe Ruth Team. He enjoyed so many summers on Lake Minnetonka, so many winters cruising the Mediterranean, Caribbean and Alaska with his family.
