Esther Beryl Patterson Obituary (1921 - 2014)

Esther Beryl Patterson, (nee Nemer) “Miss Esther”, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 31, 2014 at 92 years of age. A lifelong resident of St. Paul, MN, she was preceded in death by husband, Warren D. Patterson; parents, Sam and Celia Nemer; brother, Sidney, and niece, Nancy Nemer. Survived by daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Jerry Schwartz; and granddaughter, Jennifer Schwartz (Casey Viesselman); other relatives and many friends. Thanks to all the staff at the Wellington for their loving care, and to special friends, Frani, Tammy, and Jerry and Amy and their entire family. Esther taught preschool for over 30 years at the Talmud Torah of St. Paul, volunteered with the Men’s Club at the Jewish Community Center of St. Paul, and was an antique dealer for many years. Funeral service WEDNESDAY, 11:00AM, TEMPLE OF AARON SYNAGOGUE, 616 S. Mississippi River Blvd., St. Paul. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Warren and Esther Patterson Endowment Fund for Senior Services and Transportation at the JCC, any food shelf, or the donors’ favorite charity.
