Eleanor Lapinsky, Age 92, of St. Paul, passed away December 20, 2020, due to Covid-related complications. Preceded in death by her loving husband of 66 years, Arnold Lapinsky. Eleanor was a past-vice president of the St. Paul Chapter of the National Council of Jewish Women; twice served as chair of the St. Paul Women’s Division for Israel Bonds; helped implement the Head Start Program in St. Paul; and was a long-time volunteer at Gillette Hospital for Children. After her retirement as an administrative assistant to Justice Rosalie E. Wahl, the first woman appointed to the Minnesota Supreme Court, she served as a volunteer intake counselor at Jewish Family Services of St. Paul. Eleanor lived well, loved deeply, and laughed often. She will be most remembered for her quick wit, intelligence, creativity, love of family and love of laughter, and will be deeply missed by all who loved her. At Eleanor’s request, due to pandemic concerns, funeral services will be private, and a Shiva gathering will not take place. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to donor's choice.
