Edward Hokenson Obituary (1940 - 2019)

Age 79 of Minnetonka, MN passed away on August 15, 2019 after living for three years with a rare leukemia. Preceded in death by parents, Lola and Spencer Hokenson. Survived by wife, Louise; sister, Cheryl of Elizabeth, CO; brothers, David (Lori) of Avon, MN and Stanley (Cary) of Bend, OR; nephews; nieces; cousins; and the Pegi and Harry Levey extended family. A native of Wahpeton, ND, he valued his ties to the Class of 1958 and planned to attend the next reunion. Ed was a person with positive energy who excelled at solving problems and building everything from relationships to construction projects. He loved to cook, bake, taste wine and have coffee with friends. Special passions were his dogs, football, cars, driving, boating and shooting sporting clays. Graveside ceremony 1:30 PM, TUESDAY, August 20th in the Interfaith Section of the MINNEAPOLIS JEWISH CEMETERY, 7032 Penn Ave. S., Richfield, MN 55423.
