Dorothy Rovner
Dorothy passed away on January 20. Born in 1922, Dorothy led a full life making lasting memories for herself and all who were a part of her life. Whenever the family got together there was much laughter as story after story was shared. And Dorothy loved it. Dorothy was a fabulous cook and truly loved preparing great meals for family near and far. There were too many dishes she was famous for to list them. She could grow any flower, shrub or tree...even those that weren’t supposed to survive in Minnesota. All plants thrived under her care. Many a person sought her advice about their gardens, as she was a master. She was a strong willed woman who overcame much adversity. She left this world with family at her side. As it should be. So drink a toast to our memorable, feisty lady. Gin and tonic in a tall glass with little ice. Dorothy was preceded in death by husband, Sam; and brothers, Clayton, Don, Herb, Herman, Jake, and John. She is survived by sister, Lu Vicento; children, Jan (Sue), Rick, Sandra and Jill; grandchildren, Naomi, Emily, Sam (Lauren), Dena, and Zach; and great grandchildren, Amelia and Eli. The family especially wishes to thank the staff at St. Therese in New Hope and Heartland Hospice whose care and caring helped us so much during this time. Funeral service FRIDAY, 10:30AM, at BET SHALOM CONGREGATION, 13613 Orchard Rd., Minnetonka, MN, 55305. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in memory of Dorothy to the Heartland Hospice Memorial Fund, 333 N. Summit St., PO Box 10086, Toledo, OH 43699-0086.
