David Warren Sher Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

David Sher, age 76 of Edina and Estero, FL, passed away March 5, 2022. Preceded in death by parents, Anne & Harry Sher; sister, Marlene Flagg; brother-in-law, Harry Flagg; and in-laws, Shirley & Gabriel Jaffe. David is survived by his wife of 52 years, Ellyn; daughter, Lisa; son, Marc (Pamela); grandchildren, Alex & Rachel; sister, Lynn Flagg; brother-in-law, Gerald Flagg; special dog, Rocky; nieces & nephews and MANY special friends. David was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, teacher & friend. He was born in Ironwood, Michigan and graduated from Northern Michigan University with degrees in Business Administration & Education. He was a beloved educator at Richfield High School for 34 years where he taught Business and Marketing. Many of his students won state and national awards with Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA.) During his retirement he enjoyed spending quality time with his grandchildren, friends and travelling abroad. Our family is grateful to Dr. David Fine, Dr. Josh Becker, Dr. Andrew Bentall, Dr. Carrie Schinstock and Dr. Manit Singla for their dedication and compassionate care. Funeral service, 1:00 PM on MONDAY, March 7th at TEMPLE ISRAEL, 2323 Fremont Ave. S., Minneapolis. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the American Kidney Fund (kidneyfund.org) or American Heart Association (heart.org). SHIVA 7:00 PM at York Plaza, 7230 York Ave. S., Edina.
