Curtis W. Hort Obituary (1921 - 2015)

Curtis W. Hort, age 94 of Minnetonka, passed away 8/18/2015. Curtis was born in Berlin, Germany in 1921. He was a proud Jew who survived the Holocaust in the Shanghai ghetto, and then came to the U.S. in 1947. He was preceded in death by his parents Heinrich & Johanna Horwitz, wife Paula Hort, children Vivian Neiger and Ronald Hort. Survived by his wife of 17 years Louise Davis; daughter Virginia (Troy) Jensen; grandchildren Sunny Jo Neiger (William Moore), Tanner, Lucille Louise, and Cecelia Marie Jensen; great grandchildren Erin, Dylan and Kelly Moore. Funeral service 1:30 p.m. THURSDAY at BET SHALOM CONGREGATION, 13613 Orchard Rd., Minnetonka. Memorial are preferred to Rabbi Norman Cohen’s Discretionary Fund at Bet Shalom Congregation. SHIVA, 7 p.m. Thursday in the Community Room at the Glen Atrium, 14501 Atrium Way, Minnetonka.
