Arthur Stone passed away March 28, 2022. Art was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. He was the strongest of the greatest generation and was a WWII veteran. We are so happy he enjoyed a long and happy life of generosity and love. For 95 years and one day, he gave goodwill to family, friends, associates and his dogs Ginger and Kiki. He founded Gourmet Award Foods and traveled the world with his family, acquiring gourmet delicacies. We wish to thank his caregivers, Joanna Chao, Lakesha Kirkland, Janet Zylberberg, Raiya Smith and Lisa Holden for their incredible energy, time, love and unconditional support in preserving Art’s quality of independent living. A special thank you to Dr. Thomas Ducker and palliative care specialist Bruce Anderson for Assisting Art in beating stage 4 metastasized cancer and remaining disease free until his passing. Preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Margaret Stone, parents Edward and Bess Stone, and brother Alan Stone. Art is survived by his sister, Nancy Karasov and sister in law Lou Ann Stone; children, Gary Stone (Sandra), Joel Stone (Marcia), Cheryl Bemel (Sanford), Sandra Stone (Elias); grandchildren, Jeremy Stone (Kate), Alex Stone (MC), Zachary Stone, Katie Martell (Brian), Andrew Stone, Hayley Bemel, Spencer Bemel, Blaire Bemel, Justin Khoury, Jacob Khoury, Nicholas Khoury (Eileen) and Thomas Khoury; great grandchildren, Hazel Stone, Allison Martell, Lilly Martell, Juliette Martell and Eli Khoury.
