Anabel Blacker Obituary (1924 - 2017)

Anabel Blacker (nee Goldman) age 93, of St. Paul, born in Chicago, IL, May 17, 1924 died in her home on Thursday July 20, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Blacker and her daughter Donna Jill Blacker. She is survived by her daughter Elysa (John Whealan) Blacker; granddaughter, Diana Blacker Whealan; nieces, nephews and loving friends and caregivers. Anabel's heart was filled with a passion for life and for all those she loved. She welcomed everyone into her home and became “Mom” to all she loved, especially her late daughter’s closest friends and colleagues. To those who knew her, she was spunky, witty, and always full of joy. Anabel ran her own show, as she always knew what she wanted. Her personality was larger than life, just like her jewelry. Graveside service Monday, July 24th at 12:00 PM at Waldheim Jewish Cemetery, 1700 Harlem Avenue, North Riverside, IL.
